Went home to parents, now in laws not allowing me to enter home.

I married on 12th Dec 2013. Starting 2 months was quiet good, but after few days his family started to torture me for dowry. I compromised many times about abusing and against beaten. My husband beat me many time in front of my in-laws. Some time he loved me and sudden he changed his behavior and start fought me. We are 3 sisters due to that I didnt take any step. But few days back i went to my parents's home. when i came back from there my in-laws didnt open the door and said that they claimed the divorce now they can't give me entry at home. please help me . What can i do?

Dear Madam,

You should file a complaint of domestic violence on priority and ask for residence as well as maintenance orders from the court.

Alternatively you can also file sec 125 petition for maintenance.

You have a right of residence and your husband is duty bound to provide the same if he does not you should first file a criminal complaint before the police station and then file domestic violence case be fore the court. the court will allow you the right of residence and maintenance.
