Want to take divorce from my husband how can I get back my things

12-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
It seems that my husband prefer his parents over me.. no issues but he is forcing me to stay with them even when before marriage I had cleared that I want to stay separately. I and my husband were staying in his flat. Unfortunately, my husband has decided to accept me and live with me only if I choose to keep up his family expectations. I tried but they are never satisfied and so does my husband. Most of my furniture and other household items are at his other flat. He told me to get lawyer otherwise would not return them. Can you please advise what can be Done..

Hi
You can surely get back your articles from court.
Before that you have to initiate some proceedings like divorce or restitution.
You can also move to magistrate court court for similar relief under domestic violence act.

Dear

there is not particular law which can safeguard you i this regard of making your husband separate from his parents for the sake of his matrimonial life. there has to be a great cause more particular a physical injury or a grave mental harassment on the part of husbands parents through with (with a application to the magistrate) you can get an order which may get your husband to stay with you away from his parents.

better solution is go to a marriage counsellor and settle the dispute amicably instead of the fights.

Go for mutual divorce. The case of individual expectations are not strong grounds to take divorce. You can visit to family court and file it yourself and your husband or take help of lawyer locally.
