25-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Me and my wife want to file mutual consent divorce in mumbai and goa....as in goa we have registered marriage under civil registet office and in mumbai under hindu marriage act....as she is christain....she converted to hindu. In goa we already filed just waiting for first motion but thr wait is one year for second motion not six months like mumbai....so its better to file in mumbai now or wait for 6 months and file as i live in america...my wife lives here...or better to file now and can i extend my second motion after year in mumbai....so both divorce are done same time.

Dear client I can file divorce petition either where I get married or where I both jointly reside lastly as husband and wife together. I cannot file mutual divorce in two courts. If I want to file mutual divorce petition in Mumbai then u have to withdraw first petition filed in goa. For any legal help call me

To take divorce by mutual consent both party must be present before court.
With reference to jurisdiction for divorce the place of registration of marriage is prime importance.
hence you need to take divorce at mumbai only when both party were present before the court.
No need to file case at different location you need to with draw other case from goa.
