Validity of inter religion marriage if not registered

I am hindu and the girl I married is Muslim.We got married according to hindu rituals without any registeration under Special Marriage Act. I want divorce from her now.Can i say this marriage is already void so that i don't even need to apply for divorce?
As per ur quarry my reply is that the Marriage is valid but one party can aoply suit for declaration of voidable marriage u s special marriage act due to non compliance of the conditions of validity . better u file suit for divorce in appropriate court rest on VI's a vise
