Validity of divorce decree obtained from UK for marriage help in india

08-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am a Christian. Got married at the registrar office in Gujarat in 2006 with a girl who was working in the UK (on a work visa) as a nurse. The church marriage ceremony was scheduled later. It was decided before the marriage that the girl would join me to stay in Gujarat after work visa completion. However, during my visit to the UK, I realised that she had no intentions to relocate to India and she had even applied for Ph.D studies enrolment (whereby she could get her visa's extended beyond the period of 5 years. Subsequently, she could even apply for "Indefinite stay visa"). She insisted that I too settle in the UK. But I refused and came back to India within 3 month. About 1 year later, I received the divorce decree (final) from the county court in the UK which stated that the marriage has been declared as "dissolved" (Null & void). It's been 10 years to this incident. Is this "divorce" complete ? Please guide. How to clear that in the registrar office records in Gujarat ?

Yes definitely if it is accepted by U.S. court of law then it can be considered as valid document for further legal proceeding. As divorce is done with out any condition then you can remarry as per ur wish.
