Six months of marriage how can I file for divorce

13-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I want a legal separation from my wife. We've been married 6 months. Reason - irreconcilable differences. Even though she wants to separate, she's not agreeing to it because of her parents. I don't wish to wait an entire year to file for divorce. Hindu Punjabi.

If it's a divorce you want then you will have to move the courts. It's best that you speak with her and convince her, but if she still does not agree then file on your own due to irreconcilable differences. Mutual consent divorce is the best as it is less painful and takes less time, but if that is out of the question, then I suggest you file on your own.

Immediately file a divorce by mutual petition brfore the family court and take adjournment on first date of hearing on the ground of conciliation and reside joint till first motion divorce but it's better to take matrimonial counseling because in the first year of marriage these kind of ego clashes is a normal things in matrimonial life. Please wait till one or two years and understand to each other in a different way and visit to a good place

No one is above law. If you had married her and now after six months you want divorce, you need to wait for another six months for filing divorce prtition.

Within six months only annulment petition is admissible. But your case hardly falls in required category.
