Sister-in-law threatening us to file a false case

Our family was so exhausted by my brothers marriage.My brothers wife and her family are so money hungry and they are always demanding. And my brothers wife not even want to stay more than 10 days in a month. Almost all the time she leaves into his father house she don't even think our house as her own house she don't even care about my brother. Now the think is we want a separation but they don't want to comes with a mutual separation. Now they are threaten us that they will claim alimony and all those thing. So in This Situation what will be our next step. Please give me a detail about what should we do now.
There are a lot of aspects need to be taken into account, you should file a general diary with your local police station stating and citing all reasons and threats and instituting false cases. So as to get protection for future. Apart from this send her on email politely to come back or text or whatsapp her, which ever u can keep record off, make her commit and state that she does not want to reside with your brother if he stays with his parents, if you can get hold of such a proof, a higher court has stated if wife separates hindu son from aged parents it is a ground for divorce. Plus she may initiate false domestic violence case and maintenance case too much later which i assume is on a threat note. Detailed technical discussion is necessary.
