Remedy available if Husband is physically abusive to me and my family

My Husband is physically abusive and also harasses me and my patents mentally for silly things. What action can I take against him. Im having two son,one of 2 1/2 yr and another is of twenty days. Starting from our marriage he verbally and emotionally abuses me and mentally tortures me as well.I want a divorce. Sometime he use to beat me like hell,is it possible to have custody of my both son with me for lifetime..as he is not good man to give custody,behaviour of him can effects on my both son. He is arm soldeir and post is Wartant Officer,presently im nt earning bt i can do job as im well educated and can take cate of both son. What possible outcome comes if i file a divorce petition on him .
