Dear Sir
I see as per your query, that you were indeed married but never obtained a divorce. Once a marriage is registered, you need to obtain a divorce, unless you fulfill the criteria for annulment of marriage, which is not the case here. I suggest, hire a lawyer, talk to your "wife" and file for mutual divorce. Your status is "married", at the moment. Your wife is guilty of bigamy

She is your legally wife and her second marriage is null and void carries no meaning in eyes of law .as you have to your status in govt job you shall show it as married otherwise she creat a problem for you in future yes u may talk to her & may for mutual consent divorce which is easy & simple which you will get in six months. Convince her same so as to make her ready.

Fine enough the marriage cannot be revoked on any count and the marriage remains in existense and in your particular case if your wife has married some other guy it sounds to be as if she will never claim about marriage so you can make a mention that you are single and other wise marriage can be dissolved by divorce only
