Physical abuse by husband what action can I take

My sister was married in 2003. She has two children. Her husband physically abuses her and her children. What action can we take

There are multiple actions that can be taken against the physically abusing husband, however please be informed that any action you will take will lead to breakdown of this marriage as its been already 13 years please decide if you want to separate from your husband. If yes then go ahaead and file a police complaint and a complaint under domestic violence act. if no then talk to relatives from both sides and try to sort out the issues amicably..Best of Luck

Sir/Madam, your case is one which completely fall under the category of domestic violence and may be redressed by taking recourse of criminal proceedings under section 498A of IPC and a complaint may also be filed under section 12 of Protction of women from domestic violence act before the magistrate.

2. you can have the shelter of Domestic Violence Act
3. You can file case of criminal nature against the husband of your sisiter depends upon the situation
