Our divorce case is pending and the orders have been reserved for 6 months but have not been passed yet. What action can we take to speed it up?

Honestly not much. Although the Supreme Court has held in a proceeding that judges have to pronounce judgment within 3 months, due to a huge burden and workload this has not had effect. I would suggest you ask the lawyers appearing in the matter to bring this to the notice of the bench officers if they can subtly communicate to the judge (in case he/she forgot) or file a dummy application for minor change of terms, etc. and mention the same in court. This may prompt a faster rendering of the judgment. Good luck!

If the judgment/order is not passed for more than six years you may again move an application before the court, moreover as per your version it s said that a divorce decree is passed on that specific date so you may also apply the certified copies of that day
