Divorce can be given by the Court only. Such divorce agreements which are executed on a stamp paper have no value in the eyes of law, and marital status of parties is not affected and they remain husband-wife.

Divorce can only be valid and proper if granted by the court of law. Divorce in stamp paper is nothing in the eyes of law and is not a valid divorce too. So it is advisable to obtain the divorce only through court of law
