Need divorce from wife who is asking for more alimony

I am 35yrs old. I finished MBBS 10 yrs ago but not done any post graduation. I have applied for divorce from my wife who is a dermatologist and earning well. She is demanding 4 lakhs permonth as alimony which I cannot afford. The case is in court for past 3 years. She had filed dowry harassment case also. I have filed abuse case against her as my lawyer advised this. I want to finish this at the earliest. Is there any way to get divorce despite she asking more alimony. My lawyer says there is nothing much to do
It is a Hindu marriage.
I suggest you to insist your advocate to expedite your case without wasting time and to seek shorter dates for adjournment which helps your case to settle at the earliest. Further you can defend your point on refusing to give huge monthly maintenance amount in view of various Supreme Court Citations.
