My wife earns more salary than me. Am i liable to pay her alimony?

Am 34yr (hindu) lecturer in private institute.. my wife(hindu) is govt job holder and earns more salary ... now we applied for divorce ... no child for us... my question is wheher i have to give amount to her?(componsation)... am not able to give also.... any one can give answer for this what to do ?

The question will be decided purely on the merits of the case and the prayer sought however no alimony or maintenance should be claimed by a spouse if they are financially secure and also such maintenance ( if granted) would be applicable only until such period that the spouse has not remarried .
