you can contest the divorce sent through email by filing a case in court.
Divorce sent through mail is invalid in eyes of law.
Also that your husband has NOT been in contact since 2 and half years, even according to muslim law, he should come in person to claim divorce.

As per Muslim Law pronouncement of Divorce must be in presence of wife and the same must be recorded by Kazi in a Masque by giving maintenance for iddat period and the same is fixed by Kazi. You may say that Talaque is not receached to you and it may not be valid. You may claim maintenance.
