Money demanded by inlaws for staying with husband?

My in-laws have conducted by marriage stating that they have no demand. My husband went abroad , but now they are demanding that if i have to stay with him my father needs to spend another 20-30 lakhs rupees and no money or gold, or assets given during the marriage by my father can be used by me for my education or for my stay with my husband. I have certain clips of call recordings ,of the demands they made. Both in-laws are in government service and made calls from the official phone allotted to them.Now they are threatening that they are going for a divorce .
As regards to legal aspects, you can proceed against the in-laws for dowry harassment and/or domestic harassment. However, everything depends upon the facts and circumstances and the evidence you can muster and able to prove.
