Married under UK law how can I file for divorce

My elder brother working in UK under working visa got married with an Indian girl there under UK law.They stayed separately for 2 yrs or more and recently he got to know something about the girl because of which he wants a divorce now.The girl is from Gujarat and has sent a notice to our Kolkata house stating that 16 lacs of money was given to my brother and she wants it back.Can the divorce be done from my brothers end ? What step shall we take in regard to the money matter? What step needs to be taken from our end regarding the notice received from the girl's lawyer?

From the information you have provided, your sister-in-law cannot file for divorce from India since the marriage is not registered in India. Your brother can file for divorce in UK as their marriage would be governed under UK jurisdiction.
