Any body can file a divorce suit, whether wife or husband but here nothing should keep in mind , after one year can only file a suit , before law will not permit you peiole . Consult more other legal consequences if any.

Dear Sir,

Your query seems baseless, nothing has happened wrong as per your statement. Trust your partner. If marriage is not consummated and you have some issues then it may be ground for divorce. Wish you good married life, give time for your married life.

It is not clear who has caused the non consummation of the marriage. Non consummation of marriage is the ground available for both the husband and wife to file for the divorce on the ground of mental and physical cruelty. As the marriage took place on May 12, 2016, one needs to wait until May 11, 2017 to file for the divorce.
