No marriage certificate is not so necessary, if you are having sufficient documents to proove your marriage like Wedding card, photograph etc.., in absence of marriage certificate you can use those documents to file a divorce petition in family court. It is not possible to have the certificate all the time.

if you have your wedding card and your wedding photoraph then marriage certificate is not important. you can file divorce petition without marriage cetificate.

Yes the Marriage Certificate is important. Though it is not compulsory to register your marriage, the marriage certificate plays vital role. Without certificate means without registration of your marriage. After getting marriage you may not get it register but still it is not advisable to do so.

Dear client,
U can obtain divorce without marriage certificate. But it is necessary u should file wedding card, photo id, marriage photo, election, Aadhar card,& affidavit s of father in law or mother in law, etc is sufficient document to obtain divorce from court.
