Husband not wiling to divorce or return gold gifts given to girl.

My friend needs a divorce from her husband and he's not ready to give divorce. He mentally tortures her and threatens that he'll spoil her life. They've no children and all her gold is in his house. It's worth 18laks . Now we want that gold back and also divorce from him.
She can file divorce petition in the jurisdictional family court on tye ground of crualty. If she wants relief agaist him for the domestic violence caused by him she can file case against him under the provisions of DV Act (Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act). She is also eligible to seek maintenance from him if she is not gainfully employed.
Matter can also be settled amicably if negotiated properly. Your friend will have upper hand in the negotiation as she has option of enforcing legal remedy against him as well.

She can file a Divorce Petition before the jurisdictional Family court against her husband on the ground of cruelty and harassment.
