Husband not giving maintenance for child

07-Mar-2023 (In Divorce Law)

I have been divorced 10 years with full custody of my son (now 15) and as per the divorce degree my ex is supposed to fully maintain my son (no alimony for me). but every now and then I have a constant issue of him not paying on time, there have been times when the cheque has bounced and twice when he has tried to wriggle out of payment due to some issue of his. What can I do in this case? What are my legal rights? I am tired of this. It sometimes feel like I am begging for the money.

First issue notice to him for payment of dues and if despite notice he failed to make payment then u hb to approach the court under relevant provisions of law. U can also file a case for recovery of money on behalf of ur son, and also go for contempt of court order under contempt of courts act. Maintainance is right of ur son as well as urs

You can file for execution of Decree and payment of maintenance by husband. You need to file case against your husband for payment of arrears and monthly payments as agreed under the agreement for the decree of divorce.
