Husband harassing me. Left home and children without providing support

Since last 10 months my husband has harassing me mentally. He stopped giving any home expenses to me and my child. He left home on 22nd July, 2015 without any prior intimation and escaping of his responsibilities as a head of family. I am managing my expenses by borrowing from my parents. This was indirect way of asking dowry from my parents. I am worried and afraid for the security and social helplessness of me and my child. Till date we are not aware where he is. What action can i take against him?
You can file an application under 12 of Domestic Voilence Act and claim compensation for the harm caused to you.
Further in said application you can claim interim maintenance and right to residence .
In addition to this you can file a divorce petition thereby seeking divorce on any of the grounds enumerated under Section 13(1) of Hindu Marriage Act.
