Husband cheating how to file for contested divorce

If the husband doesn't give mutual divorce consent then how to get the separation? Husband is cheating on wife for another girl. They have a child also of 9 months. Will the mother get the custody of the child? Also the husband has a fraud and forgery case record at his previous workplace and has been sacked. Currently he is not working anywhere since last 4-5 months but having an extra-marital affair. Husband has also forcefully taken all of wife's jewellery to give money to that girl. If you could help me in understanding how the wife along with her child can get separated from her husband?
In case where the husband is not ready to file for a mutual divorce then you can file for a contested divorce. Where the age of the child is 9 months the custody of the child remains with mother and father can have visitation rights.
