Husband already married and concealed this fact, what to do ?

I have been married since a year. My husband cheated on me and married me without telling me that he is already married and has 2 kids. His first wife is a Hindu and is staying in his parents home and not ready for divorce nor for compromise. We both married through the special marriage act. He is a Hindu and I am a Muslim. Can I claim maintenance or property from him? Can his wife file a case against him even after 10-15 yrs and will the case be accepted. Please advise.

First of all you have been cheated so you can file Criminal Complaint against your husband, you can also file maintenance application before appropriate court. You can also verify the registration documents in which what is mention in the status of the bridegroom. In case there is false information then also you can file FIR against them.

This makes your marriage null and void under the Special Marriage Act. Your marriage is governed under the special marriage act as both of you belong to different religions.
