How to get divorce on grounds of torture and cruelty

My mother is a sufferer of domestic violence...i am 17years of age...my father drinks nd beat her...even us also...we are from jalandhar punjab...not financially supported as my mother is a housewife...what steps we can take to stop him...we need ur help kindly give me ur contacy number ...with hope-Anchal(17yrs) If we file divorce against my dad what can my mother get as she is not financially fit...we have a house which is in the name of my mother...a factory nd a car...what are the loss nd benefits of divorce is it the correcy way to get out of the problem ? And we are from hindu family
U can file a case of domestic violence in Jalandhar district court as well as u can also file a case of maintenance against your father to give money to you and your mother... dont file divorce case ... because may be your father also want to get divorce in that case when both parties are agree for divorce u didn't get anything from your father property.. Right now best remedy is to file case against domestic violence or you may file a complaint in police station against your father...

U can file a petition for divorce under section 13 of the Hindu marriage act on the ground of cruelty along with an application for mantainance and litigation expenses. Or u can also seek legal aid if you are not able to bear advocate fees.
