how to contest a claim for interim maintenance

my wife claiming for the maintenance in DV and section 125 case. how to protect myself from this. we had a baby(current age 20 m), she left me and my baby almost 1.2 years back. she was earlier working and earning 28k per month, now she is claiming that she is not working any more. my current responsibility my baby and my mother. pls help and suggest
In that case u have contested your case and prove that she is capable to earn bread and butter for herself but for baby m ready tio pay maintenance what Court will deem fit or appropriate for upbringing.
