How to avoid divorce proceedings

02-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband wants to leave me without giving divorce and I want to be with him but he is not ready to take me with him. Because he married me without his family knowledge and I have informed their family members that he is married to me but now he is denying for this marriage and blaming me I forced him to marry me. He was in Qatar and I was in India as he was not providing me any expenses I started working and I got a job in UAE but as soon as moved to UAE my husband went back to Kerala and I am stucked here for 2 years. What should I do. I should wait for right time or I should go legally. But if I want to go legally how it will work.

If you are innocent, then seek the help of your in laws, and make them to understand that you are innocent and no way you are against his will and doings, on the other hand if your in-laws are not in favour of you,, then no other go except to file suit for conjugal right.

He has already filed for Divorce? You have to file a strong counter/objection to his petition. You should not agree to give divorce under any conditions. Try to go for Mediation and the mediators will advice him to live with you. If you are in Chennai and need any further assistance then you can contact me. Kindly contact me to discuss the case in detail so that I can give proper guidance.

Madam,
Since you have a child of 6 year old your spouse has a prime duty to maintain both of you. So, you better file a petition seeking restitution of conjugal rights with a petition claiming maintenance. This may solve your problem.
