how can i deal with the Torture by my wife on me and my family

My brother got married last year October 2015. After the initial 6months my brother is undergoing this torture of no respect for him from the wife and her family.Fed up with this torture my brother stopped having any contact with her. However she used to whatsapp him with hatred and profanity. They have a less than a year kid now. She sits at parents place and speaks illicitly about my brother and our family. Her parents make her speak all the profanity over phone and every time she threatens my brother as she will commit suicide and blame my brother and our family as responsible. Pls help
However if the situation is not appearing to be conducive despite best efforts, issue her a legal notice to rejoin and if she still insists on her own ego and wants to torture him, let him apply for divorce as a last resort.
