both parties will have to file a joint application for divorce in the family court/district court of your area.
The jurisdiction for filing the petition is as follows:
1. The place where the marriage took place(marriage certificate or any proof to show the place of marriage)
2. The place where last resided as husband and wife(have an address to prove )
3. The place presently the wife stays
\There will be two hearings on which both parties will have to appear.
once you file the Petition the order will be after 6 months, in case you wish to extend the time after 6 months you can do it by moving an application or being absent .
the documents needed are
Marriage certificate
Marriage photographs
passport size photographs of both parties
address proof
settle the dispute between the parties in terms of alimony, maintenance, custody of children, joint property etc if any and move to court with mutual consent petition.
the terms and conditions of the above can be made out in consent terms and present before the court .
