There is no please problem as such for you to enter into marriage but the biological father of the child may claim that he is the father and can file petition to grant the custody of child in which case you have to defend that you can take better care of child then him.

Question: I am a woman and caste is Hindu. I was in living relationship from 2007 to 2014. Since 2014 onwards I am not staying together. I have a son as well. If I marry another person will it be any issues legally. And kindly advice on how get separated legally.

Ans: you have to get a divorce on an assumption that there was a marriage and the same is broke down irretrievably and get a divorce and then marry so that the child also gets a status of legitimate.

No problem. The issue is only moral and consciuosness. You can defend by denying earlier relationship or you may go for mutual divorce, whichever convenient to. What about fate of your first son. Any way enjoy bright future.

As long as you have not been married to the man that you had the child with,you need take any divorce. You can go ahead and get married to the person of your choice. There is no prohibition for you to get married
