Harassed by wife what can I do

The couple got married in 2011, from the 2nd/3rd day of the marriage the wife statred throwing tantrums, blaming mother in law, criticising. She shouts, suspect her husband and would call him miser in case her shopping spree is not answered. They used to have several fights/arguments. Recently they have a baby girl, the family and husband extended the help to make her happy, but all in vein. She proved to be extremly unaffectionante towards husband and family. She is always unhappy soul. Husband is completely baffled on how to handle the situation, though he doesn't want any seperation.
Well, i appreciate husbands patience and His willingness to be with her. May be he does want to stay with his daughter.
