You have not mentioned in your query as to what sort of proof the husband of the lady has against you ? Whether there is any video recording under compromising position or other wise. I would suggest before getting the advice of a good lawyer you should not give your affidavit as that may be used as an evidence against you.

You should not give affidavit he is asking for. He can file divorce case on the ground provided in Hindu Marriage Act if he so desire. Better you should not be a party to it. However some points are there which I would like to discuss if you contact me on phone .

Please don't give anything in writing to your girl-friend's husband. Secondly, stop discussing anything over phone with them on the subject else they can record your statements. The husband of that lady is trying to get rid of his wife but by trapping you too. It would be better for you to contact us so that we can fight for your safety with proper planning.

If you provide an affidavit stating as such, you are admitting to the offence concerned. In such a case, you are providing evidence against your own self to the person who has promised not to press charges.

His promise, even if provided in writing, doesn't hold any legal sanctity. At a future date, this evidence may be used against you.

Do let me know if you would like me to help you out.

Wish you well.

Do not give any such sort of affidavit. You should not get involved into this issue. Please also try to clear the picture with the lady whether she wants to continue with you or not and if she is not ready to divorce her then it is better that you should also start living separately.
