Got marriage registered but never lived together can i get divorce

I had done a marriage registry at the age of 8yrs ago which was also under some mentally pressurized condition applied by the guy with whom i did this registry. It is only in pen & paper as we have not done any marriage ritual or we have never lived together only he was able to take me to his home for any ocassion only for 2 to 3 hours and now we are not in touch for more than 1 & hlf year since he abused me mentally and physically now i want to move forward in life how can i get separate from him totally as he have the marriage certificate

You did not mention clearly at what age you got married. I presume you were not minor at that time. (If you were minor then the marriage is not valid anyway). If your marriage is solemnized under the Special Marriage Act, no social marriage is required in the eye of law. Now in your situation you can seek for a divorce immediately and you are entitled to it. Please contact for more detailed assistance.

You can get a certified copy of your marriage certificate that's not an issue and after that you can file a divorce case against your husband in the civil or family court according to jurisdiction on the grounds of divorce but before that you will also have to specify and establish your tortures by lodging an fir against your husband in the local police station which will help in your case.

you can obtain a divorce decree for sure. You can also apply for nullity of marriage subject to other relevant and essential conditions being fulfilled . You have not mentioned your age . This will be a determining factor.
