I had given my gold for mortgage to my in law and husband as he had lost job and needed to.pay his cc. Bill too. Later some.more were mortgaged for car's down payment of 1 lakh. It was mortgaged by my mother in law and was deposited into my ACCT which I had given to my husband. My husband promised to.recoVer it in a year. Car was in my name and loan too. We separated and my husband couldn't pay emi and asked.me to take car. I had to.clear outstanding loan of 5.5 lakhs by selling it for the same Amount. Now my husband and family asking me to pay 3.65 lakhs if I need my gold back (it was my marriage ornaments)as it was deposited to.My acct. How can I handle this. Am I liable to pay and take my gold?
