FIR file 498a but not ready for divorce what can be done

wife file 498a hardly stay with me 3-4 month now it was passed 14 month local lawyer suggested to wait till 498A close further it will take 1.5 year what can we do now

Dear client if u want to file divorce then u can file divorce on the ground of cruelty without waiting of close of 498 a. If yr current lawyer is not ready for that then u can file it from other lawyer. For any legal help call me

You can file for divorce if you have enough grounds for it and not neccessary to wait for 498a to be disposed off. Additionally she might file for meaintenance and other releifs under the Domestiv violence act .

if your wife is not ready for divorce then you can not do anything, you have to proceed with the matter in family court, family court will decide the divorce matter on merit of the case and your lawyer is rightly saying for wait for some time in magistrate court.

Dear client,
You have not mentioned date of marriage , whether FIR filed. However if FIR is filed, you have to file an anticipatory bail application and try to get anticipatory bail otherwise there's a likelihood of arrest and police custody.

You can file foe divorce under section 13 i a of hindu marriage act
The mandatory period for divorce is one year of desertion. Orealse You can settle the matter. You can request your advocate to convience your wife for divorce and take mutual divorce by filling 13 B application.
