If you do not want to give divorce to your wife you file a petition for restitution of conjugal rights along with giving a complaint in the police station. Once you file a restitution of conjugal rights petition they will give counseling.

Hi
You should file a restitution of conjugal rights petition under section 9 of Hindu marriage act and ask your wife to resume cohabitation with you.
Once that is filed, then the court will grant you a restitution decree which your wife needs to comply. Failure to comply will result in serious consequences for her including attachment of properties.

Dear Sir,

If you do not want to give divorce to your wife, don't respond to your father-in-law's face book messages. If he continues to harass you, file a complaint with police. The police may counsel both the parties. If the issue settles there fine, otherwise it could happen that your wife may file for divorce in the jurisdictional family court and the said court may send you a notice for appearance in the divorce proceedings. If that happens, engage a family court lawyer and contest the case.
