False dowry case filed. Now matter settled. Can she again file again?

24-Oct-2023 (In Divorce Law)

If in a false dowry case, after 2-3 meetings before filing charge sheet, the case settles down and the girl comes to boy's house and an affidavit is filed by girl's parents to withdraw or cancel the case then can the same dowry case be filed again after 7 years of marriage? To be clear, if a girl has filed a dowry case within 7 years of marriage then can she file it again after 7 years on the ground that she already filed it within 7 years or the 7 years law will be applicable and she wont be able to harras the boy's family again?

On what basis are you saying that its a false case has the girl admitted the same in the settlement. if no then it cannot be said to be a false case. yes she can re file the case on new events as may be reported. settlement can be taken as estoppal to file a fresh dowry case. the concept of seven years is the it will be presumed that there is dowry harassment if filed within 7 years of marriage and boys side has to prove it wrong. if after 7 years then the onus is on the girl to prove the same.
