The Divorce and custody matters take around 1 to 2 years to finish..

It depends on the facts and the time taken in trial before the Judge as well as few other factors.

It also depends on what is your religion and whether the marriage was arranged or love marriage.

As Mother, you will be given custody but the court procedures are required to be followed.

You can separate very soon if divorce is filed by mutual consent as well as custody of the child can also be granted to you under it .but if the divorce is contested then it can take a long time and if the child is small or your husband consents then custody will be 100 percent will be with you.please contact your local lawyer for further advice
