Hi
Need to know the details of crime case (rape and assault) filed in australia.
Generally, divorce and rape/assault are two separate proceedings in eyes of law.
Even if you go for divorce, a rape/assault case cannot be withdrawn as divorce is a personal civil issue whilst rape/assault charges are crime charges wherein the complainant becomes the witness and the crime is pursued/prosecuted by the state.
So unless and until the rape/assault case is thrown out / withdrawn by complainant, you should NOT allow the lady to get an easy divorce.
