How to confirm the case is closed in the police station and how to verify and have the proof in the hands that wife parents do not go to a different area police station and file a complaint again? what kind of proofs we should have in the hands to avoid such litigations further
If the said case is closed, then you can not be tried again for the same offence as it is a violation of Article 20(2) of Indian Constitution which provide the doctrine of double jeopardy i.e, (2) No person shall be prosecuted and punished for the same offence more than once.
