Clarification on interim application

24-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
We filed the case of my sister for Maintenance and Divorce two years ago, but still we are just going through the dates and all and moreover it's showing somewhere that our advocate is not interested in finishing this case so early, at last date in DV Case, judge asked our advocate for arguments but he straight away refused to argue and said will argue in next date, and the judge gave one paper to my sister to get it signed, "I don't want to press interim application" this line was written on that paper, but we are confused that what does it mean and how it affects our case, Either our case going weak or judge getting irritated bcos our advocate refused to argue; please clarify what that line means and what is happening. Thanks in Advance.

After reading ur query I reached on conclusion that you need a hard and fast advocate to deal with your case otherwise efforts to get justice will delay and delay immediately co.nsult to a good lawyer

As what I can understand is maybe your lawyer had filed application of interim maintenance whereby you get maintenance for the time being till the final maintenance order is not given by the Hon'ble Court.
Need to see documents and case file to give anymore legal advice.
Feel free to have a word with me for any clarifications
All the best

If that's the case then changing the advocate would be worth advising .
However the interim application for maintenance is determined in accordance with the conditions and the circumstances of the Applicant. We can not say or advise property unless we are shown that particular document which has been signed by your sister.
