Clarification on interim application

We filed the case of my sister for Maintenance and Divorce two years ago, but still we are just going through the dates and all and moreover it's showing somewhere that our advocate is not interested in finishing this case so early, at last date in DV Case, judge asked our advocate for arguments but he straight away refused to argue and said will argue in next date, and the judge gave one paper to my sister to get it signed, "I don't want to press interim application" this line was written on that paper, but we are confused that what does it mean and how it affects our case, Either our case going weak or judge getting irritated bcos our advocate refused to argue; please clarify what that line means and what is happening.
