Can wife file for divorce on the ground of cruelty

I got married in Jan 2016 and since first few days, I have been suffering from physical, verbal and mental abuse from my husband. I left matrimonial house in July 2016. In Feb 2017 I filed for divorce on cruelty grounds. My personal stuff and jewellery is with my in laws. My husband has recently hacked my email accounts and Facebook accounts for which I have evidence and I have reported this to cyber crime cell. Now he is threatening that he will not give me divorce and will marry another girl. What should I do? Will I be able to get divorce and till when? I am Hindu living in Mumbai

Yes, you can proceed with the case for divorce and also demand the personal stuff you have mentioned by producing a list of items before the court. Alternatively you can file a criminal case against him for physical abuse under Section 498A.
