Can wife file case against husband for maintenance of minor child?

24-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Respected Sirs, These are the case details: A wife and husband divorced, due to severe maltreatment and torture to the ward and the mother, due to threat of death, poor support, and prolongness of t he case, and the effect of tension on the child, the wife filed for settlement... The husband got away by giving a mediocre amount, and now as the minor child (17 years) is good in studies, needs further money for studies and health care... The mother is also suffering from various diseases... The husband gave a few cents land but the child will have the right to do anything with the land ONLY after the death of the father! Please help... What can we do?

Hai.
I dont think its a query gud enough to treated over online. U better find a gud civil lawyer f ur locality n proceed with the details. Especially the settlement details so tat he can find the right way out f this.
Settlement is another thing to provide maintainance is a statutory thing n no settlement of effect tat hus gave a considerable amount earlier never omits n clears him from the liability to provide maintainance. Also there is a provision to provide maintainnace for the girl child to about 25 years i think on some special statute. will refer to tat n will let u know
Hope am upto ur query

Please file a petition for additional maintenance to your child for his educational expenses.
Need to verify the nature of transaction of land to your child
if genmum right of the land is transferred, your child ,then is entitled to sell or build a house in this land with the permission of the court.

Please directly call me for better clarification

Dear Client,
You may file a petition before the Family Court of your area which is having jurisdiction, on behalf of your minor daughter. Obtain the Fee structure from which college the minor child wants to study duly signed by the head of the institution and if she need treatment get an estimate of the treatment from the concerned doctor duly signed, but both this matters must be with in the financial means of your husband. To prove the means you are required to collect the details of the property income and other income deriving sources of your husband, you will succeed.
