Can wife claim share in self acquired property after separation ?

I purchased a property in the name of me and my wife in 2006 , now we are planning to seperate . the property which i purchased was purely on my income and bank loan for which i never got any monetory support from my wife , if i am seperating from my wife now , does my wife have any authority in my property , can she file a case against the property ?

She have her half right. Its a civil matter n u ur only chanz f getting the full property back in ur hand is through a declaratory order claiming that the whole property belongs to u n tat the whole money for the same was invested by u.

The case wins only with sufficient documentary n about how u depose mounting box.

As the property is in her name as well, there is a presumption as to her joint title to the property. This presumption could be rebutted in a Court of Law on the basis of the source of funds for the purchase. But it may not such an easy task to adduce evidence in support thereof.

Your wife can demand for the property and you are liable to give back her undivided half share. It is immaterial how you obtained the property. So before get into separated you should find the solution.
