A marriage solemnised as per Hindu customs is a valid marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act. This gives all matrimonial rights to a wife.
Mere non registration is no ground to deny maintenance or alimony to your wife.
So if divorce proceedings are commenced, the wife has all the rights to ask for alimony or maintenance and you are bound by law to pay the same.

It's ok you married according to Hindu traditions, but both of you are Hindus or not. If no, then the registration was compulsory and without registration, it is no marriage at all. However, if both of you are Hindus, then it does not matter whether marriage is registered or not. She can certainly claim alimony. However, other things have to be looked into, like her income, her stability, your income, your status, your stability, etc.
