Can I divorce my husband on ground of impulse control disorder problem

08-Mar-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am in emotional and physical abusive marriage from 2 years. I am working and can't bare anymore thinking to leave.5 months before came to know through psychologist doctor that my husband is having impulse control problem which requires medication upto 2 to 3 years to come across, but he is not using regularly and arrogant. I am in dylomo whether this physical abusive people will change and treat their wife with love and respect. I am thinking to separate by putting a prior complaint that I may have threat from him if I leave or to go for dv case. But my doubt if I go for complaint is it helpful for me or my husband escape that case by saying its false that behaviour is not my fault as already having impulse control disorder problem. I am in fear if I go for domestic violence complaint he will put me in trouble in future like any imprisonment by saying as false complaint?

In this case just file a case for divorce on ground of mental and physical cruelty and also file case for maintenance and also claim interim maintenance he is likely to come for compromise, settle for lumpsum amount of permanent alimony and get divorce, for more details you are free to contact.

Impulse control disorder problem is not a ground for filing divorce unless you establish that it is the incurable decease so as not able to continue with the marriage life. However, you can file the divorce on other grounds. If you are really abused, you can seek the protection under dv act.
