Can i ask for maintenance if i' living separately from husband

Hello sir,married. Have two daughters. Me and hubby have some misunderstanding.. I want to stay away him for few years.can i get money from him wen i am separate???
If there is any sufficient cause to leave the husband like violence, cruelty on the part of the husband, then the wife could claim maintenance. But the wife who deserted the husband with out any justification she could not claim maintenance.

Hello, You can and you are eligible to seek maintenance only when the divorce proceedings are pending before the court. Simply you cannot seek maintenance only when you want to stay away from him. .
