Can husband file divorce on the basis of mental cruelty

I am a central govt. Employee and i am in love with a man whose divorce is pending.initially he had filed a divorce after which they applied for a mutual divorce, but the advocate,taking money frm my parents, kept on manipulating things and ultimately his wife asked for more alimony and the case remains pending.meanwhile his wife has also filed for divorce frm her side.But presently my family is dead against our relationship, as it is also intercaste.although the wife stays in the man's house, the man lives separately, away from his family and I stay in a different state altogether, but he keeps visiting me. so can my parents file any case against any of us? If the wife withdraws her case, can the man file divorce on ground of mental cruelty?can the wife sue us in anyway?
Yes your parents can file a case against the man you love but if you are in favour of the man then there should not be a problem, if the erstwhile wife gets a hunch of your affair, she can take action against you, she might withdraw the divorce and stay back to block you.

First man has filed divorce and then a mutual has been filed,after settling the alimony. But now she is asking for more.
If Mutual divorce is still pending she cannot file contest divorce. Its important to go through ur documents before any comment. But your parents cannot file any case. The woman can file case against the man for 498Aor others. But as u stay in a different place she cannot sue you.
