You didn't mention whether the necessary ceremonies were performed or not !! In any case of you people have done valid marriage than you can file for divorce by mutual consent and there are two motions in the same and you will have to go through both of them .

You can get divorce and in legal recourse one year after 2 more month is the quickest time frame for your solution. If you want it more quick i must tell you that it would cost you extra-ordinary reasons and finances. If you need a mutual divorce do consult for a proper legal assistance. Haste is always waste and doesnot work in judicial recourses. And on your marriage being unregistered would make no difference as it was your responsibility to register, for divorce you need a court decree.

Yes it can be done. Both you will require to provide a copy of your marriage photograph and card alongwith affidavits. Hire a counsel and file a petition under section 13B for divorce by mutual consent. I ll suggest that this a big life decision and you both should consult a marriage counselor before taking this step. There are other requirements which your counsel shall explain it to you
