Can any legal action be taken for abortion of a child by family member

I have a query regarding a marriage case.. My friends sister was maaried last april to a guy on terms that he will keep her with him in delhi because his parents live in village. the girl is pregnant by 2 months. they want to abort the child. but the inlaws are not willing. if they abort the child can any legal action be taken by them for this act?

Yes for any forceful or illegal abortion the persons involved can be booked criminally under various section including IPC 312, if proved can be sentenced as well. You need to contact a local lawyer and you can also stop the concerned person for going for abortion stating your reasons.
